Emmett is the gateway to Idaho’s backcountry with gorgeous views and friendly people. Emmett may be a small city (roughly 8000 residents), but it feels like a cozy home town where residents care for one another and make you feel welcome. The first thing most people think of when they hear Emmett is cherries! The annual Cherry Festival attracts droves of people to the charming city of Emmett - roughly 50,000 people – and thousands of pounds of cherries are purchased during the festival. Emmett has a very impressive classic car community. It’s almost impossible to drive through town without seeing a gorgeous time capsule on wheels. Locals can also be found hiking Squaw Butte, boating at Black Canyon Reservoir, soaking in the Roystone hot springs, hunting, or fishing.
